Bittersweet Arrangements : A Sugar Dady Affair

Bee & Bubu

Three months passed unnoticed as Devan and Elena’s relationship flourished. During this time, Devan also made efforts to win over Jeremy, who still showed signs of disapproval. Devan understood Jeremy’s attitude very well because he might have done the same if he were in Jeremy’s position. Or perhaps his reaction would have been even more extreme.

“Where do you want to eat, Bee?” Devan asked Elena as she just got into his car.

For almost 2 weeks, Devan had been picking up and dropping off Elena for her classes. Wherever the girl went, Devan would be ready to accompany her. Elena herself didn’t feel uncomfortable or disturbed by the possessive attitude shown by the mature man. Elena never felt ashamed to acknowledge their relationship in front of her college friends. In fact, it made it easier for Elena to fend off her male friends who tried to get closer.

“It’s up to you, uncle. I just want something refreshing. My brain feels exhausted after working like a slave,” Elena replied while fastening her seatbelt. “I only managed to study half of what was tested last night,” Elena complained after working on difficult quiz questions.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

“How about going to the city park?” Devan offered with a smile. “Or to DAS Caffe?” Devan added, giving options to his girlfriend.

Elena seemed to think for a moment before replying, “Let’s go to the city park, uncle. Instead of meeting Daddy later. You know yourself, Daddy tends to get jealous of you.”

Instantly Devan chuckled. What Elena said was true. His friend often showed a displeased expression every time he saw them together. Devan himself tried to keep his promise not to touch Elena. He would wait until she became halal for him according to the time frame set by Jeremy. It was tough because Devan had to wait for another 2 years. But to prove his love’s sincerity, Devan was willing to wait faithfully until that time came.

Devan quickly directed his car to the place mentioned by Elena. As usual, Elena would play their favorite old songs.

“Uncle, umm,” Elena called out while humming. “Can I call you Bubu from now on? since you call me Bee?” Elena continued with her sweetest smile, hoping that her nickname would be accepted. “Doesn’t it sound nice?”

“No way. It sounds weird to me,” Devan quickly refused.

The smile on Elena’s lips vanished instantly. Elena, who was initially looking at Devan, now shifted her gaze to the road. Realizing Elena was sulking, Devan then reached out to grab her fingers. But Elena quickly pulled her hand away.

“Don’t be sulky, Bee,” Devan coaxed. “Alright, you can call me whatever you want as long as you’re not angry.” Devan tried to persuade Elena not to sulk. He didn’t want the girl to cry and then report to her parents. Otherwise, Jeremy would forbid him from meeting her again, as had happened before.

“Really, uncle?” Elena eagerly confirmed, making sure her ears didn’t deceive her.

“What won’t I do for you, Bee,” replied Devan, then messed up Elena’s hair. Instantly, Elena protested because once again Devan messed up her appearance.

Grumbling, Elena opened the window in front of her. With her fingers, Elena tidied up her long hair, which she often let loose.

“The messier you are, the more I like it,” Devan praised with a wide smile. In his eyes, Elena looked even more beautiful when she was messy. Especially when she just woke up.

Seeing Elena when she woke up often awakened something within him that had long been lost. He really wanted to persuade Jeremy to give his blessing for him to marry Elena as soon as possible. Waiting for 2 years seemed impossible considering his desires that had been buried for more than 10 years. But Devan knew Jeremy well; he would never change his decision.

“Uncle, you’re such a tease,” replied Elena bashfully. Her face flushed along with the orange hue blooming on both her cheeks, making Devan want to pinch her.

Devan took a deep breath and tried to refocus on driving. This was why Devan never took Elena to his workshop again after they kissed for the first time. Devan didn’t want to make the same mistake again and do something further. He was a normal man. How could he possibly stay still when he was with the girl he loved? Especially now that he had obtained approval.

Luckily, they soon arrived at their destination. If not, Devan’s mind would definitely wander.

“It looks like it’s full, Bee,” Devan said, noticing that the parking lot was full of vehicles.

“Alright, let’s find another place then, Om,” Elena replied, feeling disappointed. Even if they forced their way into the restaurant, they wouldn’t get a seat.

Devan steered his car back onto the road, searching for another recommended place to eat.

“Do you want some satay?” Devan offered, which was immediately approved by Elena.

They chose satay gulai as their lunch menu, Elena’s favorite when she was in Surabaya. Devan hurriedly got out of the car first and opened the door for Elena. Without any awkwardness, Devan wrapped his arm around Elena’s shoulder as they entered the restaurant. They paid no mind to the strange glances they received. Clearly, some of the restaurant’s patrons doubted the relationship between him and Elena. But Devan didn’t care. Instead, he showed their affection even more. Devan really wanted to announce to everyone that the young girl beside him was his future wife.

There was one lesehan (traditional Indonesian dining setup) left for them, and they immediately took it. Devan quickly ordered two portions of food and drinks from the waiter who approached them.

“Bee, from now on, whenever you’re outside, wear a mask. I don’t like seeing other guys staring at you!” Devan said after the waiter left.

“Does that mean I’m free when I’m with someone other than you, Om?” Elena replied casually, while tidying her hair behind her ears.

“Don’t fish for compliments!” Devan warned seriously.

“It’s okay if I’m fishing for compliments from handsome guys like you, Bubu,” Elena giggled, feeling amused.

“Hey, not guys. But uncles!” Elena corrected with laughter. Teasing Devan had become her hobby now, especially since Elena became a college student. The man started to act possessive and jealous. And Elena enjoyed seeing Devan’s reaction when he held back his anger. Instead of looking scary, his flat and cold expression only added to his handsomeness.

Just as Devan was about to protest, the waiter came to deliver their food order. Since Elena’s stomach had been growling since earlier, without further ado, Elena started to enjoy her meal after silently saying a prayer. Devan didn’t immediately eat. Instead, he rested his chin on his hands, watching Elena eat.

“Are you satisfied uncle, watching me?” Elena said with a smile.

“I never feel satisfied when I’m watching you,” replied Devan, reaching out to brush away the strands of hair that were falling onto Elena’s face so they wouldn’t disrupt her eating.

“That’s good. That means I don’t need to learn to cook. Because Uncle, just look at me and I’ll be full!” Elena chuckled then pinched Devan’s chin a little, which felt rough and ridiculous. Elena really likes men with thin hair like her Daddy.

And all Devan could do was take a deep breath and then exhale slowly to neutralize the rumbling in his heart. Being close to Elena of course awakened something that had been buried deep in him for a long time.

Then without another word Devan immediately devoured his food. A menu that will definitely make Devan even hotter. And as usual he will play solo to fulfill his desires. However, Devan needs to release his libido. Give vent to desires that have been buried for a long time. With Elena, 10 years of being a widower seemed useless. His young blood was flowing again. Devan felt his soul revive since he fell in love again.

“Let’s go home!” asked Devan after finishing his food.

They then immediately left the restaurant after paying at the cashier.

“Let’s just pray at home, okay?” said Devan as the car he was driving started to go down the paved road.

“Okay,” said Elena as she glanced at the clock on her wrist, showing one o’clock in the afternoon.

Devan increased the speed of his vehicle to get to Elena’s house faster. And sure enough, 20 minutes later they arrived at the Seivaz family’s magnificent residence. They hurriedly entered the house which looked deserted. But that doesn’t mean there’s no one in the house. Elena’s two younger siblings were of course already in their respective rooms. They came home from school early because of preparations for the midterm exams, while Elena’s parents were only in two places, namely in their respective offices or in their room.

Instead of going straight to her room, Elena went straight to her family’s private prayer room to pray with Devan.

“Oh my God, my future priest will be really handsome, right?” Elena muttered to herself as she watched Devan put his cap in place.

Realizing that your lover is watching you. Devan grinned as he approached Elena and whispered right in the girl’s ear, “I know I’m handsome.”
