Reunion/Chicago, Here I Come
NORA POV
I rolled my eyes angrily at this bastard, as he kept talking with Ivan. He has such a big mouth. “Is this how your mouth always leaks?” I scoffed at him. “You ran away from home?” Audrey asked with a widened eyes. “What the heck were you thinking, huh? Your brother was crying seriously over the phone, do you know how hurt he must’ve been since hours of looking for you?” Alex banged his hands on the table, looking angry. What the heck is his problem? Why is he overreacting on something that doesn’t even concern him? He’ll never cease to stop minding his business, such a chatterbox. “Don’t yell at me please, this has got nothing to do with you, so why not just…” “Don’t even tell me that shit Nora! I’m as damn mad at you now. How could you have done that to your brother, knowing how much worried he would be, huh? Did you know what he’s been going through, looking for you everywhere, and crying his eyes out? You know how much Ivan cares about you, and you still went ahead to do this? Did you even consider how he’d feel?” He asked angrily, glaring at me. “You have no right, whatsoever, to judge me. Why the fuck are you yelling at me, without even trying to hear me out!” I said angrily, as I sprang up on my feet. “No matter what he had done to you, it should never justify you, running away from home, knowing how he’d be worried about you. You’re wrong so admit it Nora!” He yelled at me furiously, as he sprang up to his feet. “Do you ever think about how he feels, huh? All you ever think about, is yourself, did you ever think about the pains he’s going through, all because of you, and you still got the guts to make him worried?” He fired at me, getting the attention of everyone in the restaurant. “Can you two just stop this argument!” Audrey banged his hands on the table. “It’s ok, I’m out of here.” I said, trying to fight back the tears that threatened to escaped my eyes. Have I really been thinking for myself alone? Have I not been a good sister? Alex is right, I think I’ve cared so much about myself, that I never thought of how Ivan will feel, he loved me with everything in him, he sacrificed alot of things for me, he made me his first priority, and always tried as much as to protect me, how could I have been so wicked, to let my anger take over me, leading me to hurting the only person that cares about most about me? Turning around to leave the place, Alex’s voice cut through my heart like a sharp sword, bringing me to an abrupt halt. “You’re too selfish for my liking Nora… you don’t deserve to be called a sis…” “Enough!” Ivan’s angry voice cut him off. Raising my gaze to the door, I found Ivan, glaring hard at Alex, as his eyes blazed in anger. “Ivan…” I called almost in a whisper, as the tears I’ve been holding back, finally found its way out of my eyes. He looked destabilized, it was very obvious that these few hours I’ve been away, he had really gone through alot. He looked hopeless, and like he was going to die anytime soon. How could I have been so wicked to have done this to my own brother? Alex scoffed angrily, then grabbed his car keys from the table angrily, before storming out of the restaurant. Ivan glanced at him, before rushing to me, with a worried look on his face. “Are you ok Nora? Did you got hurt? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?” He asked worriedly, checking my body, to see if there’s anything on it. “Yes I’m fine.” I said, as I stared at him, more tears came streaming down my eyes like an ocean. Raising his gaze to me, he cupped my cheeks in his hands, as his grey eyes pierced into mine, with so much worry on his face. “Why… why are you crying? Did anyone hurt you? Are you hurt? Please talk to me.” He shook my face slightly. I burst into tears, as I threw myself in his arms, hugging him tightly, more tears pouring down my cheeks. “I’m sorry Ivan… I’m sorry.” I cried bitterly. I felt his hand around me, as I heard him sobbed. “I’m sorry… I will never do that again.” He said in a teary voice. “I’m still here.” Audrey’s voice distracted us, and that was when I realized that he was still around. We pulled away from each other, and I pecked his cheek, before wiping my tears with the back of my palm. We all sat down and ordered for a drink, which we drank, before leaving the restaurant, after which we drove back home… PARIS I ruffled my hair crazily, as I paced in my room, holding my phone to my ear. Gosh! I hate this. That stupid manager of mine will sure hear it from me. I have a flight to catch up with by 8am for fuck sake, and he’s yet to be here now. “Urgh!” I groaned angrily, as I slumped on the bed, digging my fingers in my already arranged hair, messing it up again. That incompetent idiot will so pay for this, if I miss my flight. I supposed to be in Chicago today for heaven sake, and the idiot is not even showing up now. The sound of my ringing phone jolted me back to reality, and picking the phone from the bed, I scoffed at the caller ID, before sliding the answer button. “For the love of God Harry, what’s it by your time!” I yelled on the phone, glaring into space angrily. “I’m sorry ma’am, I was…” “Keep your explanation to yourself, where the heck are you?” I thundered, losing my patience. “I’ll be there in a few minutes ma’am.” His voice came on. “Just make sure I don’t miss my flight, because if I do, I’ll advice you just get a car, and drive to the pit of hell, before I send you there.” I yelled, and without waiting for him to talk, I banged the call on him, before dropping the phone on the bed. I’m all ready for the trip, my bags are already well arranged, just this idiot is what’s keeping me from going to the airport now. My name is Evelyn Javier, twenty three years old, averagely tall, skinny, light flawless skin, blonde hair, and a pair of brown eyes. I’m a crazy, but nice person, you wouldn’t wanna mess with me, else you’ll see my madness. I have a best friend, her name is Nina, and I love her. She lives in Chicago, and I’m more than happy that I’m going see her after so many years. Enough of the introduction for now, you’ll get to know me later. Harry arrived few minutes later as promised, and without wasting time, he arranged my luggage’s in the car, before driving me to the airport. I was lucky enough, as the flight was a few minutes to taking off, before we arrived. The flight took off a few minutes after we got to the airport. The trip was not different from every other trip I’ve had, boring. Hours later, the plane landed at the airport, and we all stepped out of it, with Harry, dragging my bag, as he trailed behind me. “Chicago here I come.” I smiled, as I wore my sunglass…Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
