Chapter 29: Trust no longer exists
There was a moment of silence and then everything went on as expected.
“No, Alden…” Emma, being told the truth, fell into confusion for a moment. Just that short time, was enough for Alden to know that he had guessed her heart correctly.
“That’s enough Emma Susan.” Alden yelled, “Let go of me before I’m rude.”
After saying that, he used his hand to push her hand away from his leg. But Emma’s strength is also formidable, perhaps days of hard work to keep fit have now worked.
“Why are you so cold and heartless?” Emma reproached, her voice filled with tears sounding very uncomfortable: “I’m just asking you to fulfill your responsibilities and duties as a father. The child needs a father, do you understand? He needs a family. to develop fully, perfect the best.”
That’s right, Emma is right every child needs a family. But she forgot there were no children here. Want to trick Alden? This is easily satisfied.
Alden really lost all hope for Emma. She did not appreciate the best treatment he gave her. Instead, he plotted to turn him into a bad guy, a miserable man. Alden finally came to his senses, and although his eyes could not see, he could clearly see Emma’s, sin-eaten heart. My mind is very bright right now.
“Are you sure it’s my baby?” Alden asked sternly, “Don’t forget you slept with someone else.”
Listening to him, Emma thought that Alden was giving her a chance to explain and convince. As long as she does well, she will get what she wants. Emma daydreams again. She forgot Gavin was still watching her. What her mind was thinking, he knew it all.
“I can prove it.” Emma brazenly roared. Truly sinister once hardened, its possessor need not be afraid at all.
“How?” Alden bluntly declared, he knew all too well what she was going to say: “Wait for the baby to be born, then you quietly fake the DNA results, right?”
Emma was once again told by Alden that she had a black heart. But learn from previous experience. She didn’t let herself lose her temper or be swayed by Alden’s words. Emma answered almost immediately when his question was over.
“That’s not it Alden, what you say is true. The child is your child, please believe me.” Emma presented her plan: “The ultrasound shows that the baby is more than two weeks old. It must be yours when we do the room movement.”
Alden quite commended Emma’s ingenious arrangement. It didn’t go wrong when she asked Lily to fake the results for her. But she didn’t anticipate that Alden would send an investigator. It is true that the thought has not reached the destination, and has eagerly taken action to carry out the wrong action. Failure is not unexpected. Or Emma relying on faith, Alden will be hit by her hypnosis again, to be so bold. Emma is very arrogant and it’s worth the price. Looking down on Helen’s family doesn’t end well. Gavin was smiling with satisfaction as Emma’s ignorance was exposed so clearly.
“So Alden, if you want I’ll show you the results.” Emma looked up at him and spoke. She thought that as long as he looked into her eyes, everything would be easier. Unfortunately, Emma didn’t know he was blind. And right now Alden looked ahead, instead of looking down to see her unpleasant face. So the hypnosis ability Emma was planning to use was not available. And even if Alden saw it, it was unlikely that Emma would be able to hypnotize him. Because the medicine has already left Alden’s body.
“I don’t believe you.” Alden coldly declared, “Anything can be faked. Do you think I don’t know that? You’re underestimating me, Emma.”Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Alden doesn’t make mistakes.” Emma turned to remind him, warning him: “If you don’t accept the child, I will make you regret it. I will raise him alone and tell him about you. I will make him hate you and the area.” Mature will seek your revenge.”
Oh, this idea is really cool and creative. It can be applied to other situations. But Alden’s is definitely not successful. The reason why was as said Emma was a liar and another secret that Emma didn’t know, Alden had told her somewhere. If that was the case, today, Alden could not witness and see Emma’s true nature.
“Do it if you want. But before that, I’ll put you in jail for slander.” Alden still calmly replied to Emma: “But don’t you think the child can die suddenly? Maybe it’s okay to die in your belly. Then why do you have a future to say loudly? before.”
“What do you say, why deny it? Why curse your child like that?” Emma angrily shouted: “You are so cruel, what poisoned Alden Helen to love his wife? Who are you? Quickly answer the former Alden for me.”
Regardless of Emma’s performance, Alden and Gavin remained calm, without reacting to cheer or support the show to be more unique and rich.
After Emma finished speaking, she cried bitterly as if someone had died. Strangely, she still wouldn’t let go of his leg. It’s hard to die. Time to end it all.
“You can’t prove the pregnancy is mine, can you?” Alden’s words made Emma look up, tears welling in her eyes, her mouth choking in denial.
“No, I can–”
“Conversely I can prove it’s not mine.” Alden interrupted her again: “And don’t expect to get away with slander, falsifying documents to scare, blackmail others.”
“Impossible? What are you trying to do? Alden I told you, don’t try to absolve me of all responsibility.” cried Emma, determined not to believe it. Alden was just lying to get away from her.
“Know why the child isn’t mine?” Ignoring her again, he concentrated on finishing: “Because I can’t have children.”
What? The information sounded like lightning across the ear. How is it possible? He must be joking, just getting back at her. Emma offered her own mental reassurances.
“This is the funniest joke I’ve ever had. But it can’t make you…” Emma commented slowly. Or rather, deny it all.
Alden interrupted grumpily, scolding Emma, startling her:
“Don’t try to deceive me. From the very beginning when you told me you were pregnant, I completely lost faith in you. A liar nothing more, nothing less.”
He was looking down at her now with the most hateful gaze she had ever seen in him. Overwhelmed with shock Emma forgot her intention, so the command prompt was not activated.
“What did you just say, don’t try to deceive me.” Embarrassed, Emma hesitantly asked: “This isn’t funny. Alden, do you know you’re a terrible liar?”
Alden shook his head in disgust at Emma’s stubborn, clingy stickiness. Dealing with someone like her is exhausting. I don’t know why he decided to be with her before. A doubt formed in Alden’s mind. Alden is on the right track. Let’s expect something breakthrough, unexpected to happen from Alden.
