Chapter 22
Chapter 22
"......And he threw me out of his house" Alissa was sitting with Eleanor, finally telling someone about
her and Eric. Eleanor was listening to her the whole time.
She payed attention to every single word she said to her till now.
She was quite shocked after listening to Alissa. Although, anyone would be surprised to know that. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Eleanor was really worried that night when Eric took Alissa with her. She even tried to go and find
where she is, but it was impossible.
"It will be alright, maybe he just needs sometime to find out his actual feelings" Eleanor advised.
"How much time does he want? I am craving for his answers" Alissa said
"Alissa, let me tell you something. Sometimes we don't get answers just like that. We have to run
behind them. Life is not that easy. We have to run behind every single thing which we want to achieve
or which we want to get. That is how Albert Einstein had answer to every question. If he is even
relatable in this conversation. You know right"
Alissa nodded, and blew her nose in the handkerchief. She was so frustrated with her life, with the
happenings around her. She just wanted to reach at the end of this chapter. She was scared, that it
might lead to a scary position.
She was scared to get hurt...again.
"Why can't I just quit?" Alissa cried.
"Something is never perfect Alissa. You have to get that"
"But something is never even this messy" Alissa protested.
Eleanor huffed and said "You just have to wait. You even got your first salary. Why don't you enjoy. Your
salary is very good. Just go and celebrate"
Alissa looked at her and said "No, I am just not in a good mood. I don't want to"
"I understand" Eleanor said and looked at her watch.
"Hey, it's time, to go back to our cabin's" Eleanor told her. They went on to their separate ways and
reached to their cabin.
Alissa started her work. She haven't talked or even saw Eric till now. He did not called her or send her
an email.
"He surely don't want to see me" Alissa mumbled.
And as you say 'speak of the devil' Alissa received an email.
"Come to my cabin with the files"
Alissa read the message. She don't know how to react. She is so.... confused?
She got up from her chair and took the files with her. She reached to Eric's office. She knocked on the
door and there he was standing in front of her.
He went to sit on his chair. Alissa took small steps towards him.
"Lock the door" He commanded.
Alissa looked at him with a confused look. She was in no mood to lock the door. It will just make her
more uncomfortable.
"I said, lock the door" Eric said through gritted teeth. Alissa turned on her heels and locked the door.
She came towards his table and kept the files on the table. She looked at him and he was looking
straight into her eyes. She quickly broke the eye-contact.
"May I leave sir?" She asked, but it came out like she is begging.
"No" He said that like it was the final answer.
He got up front his chair and remove the coat and opened the button of the sleeves and rolled them
upwards. He loosed his tie and stood near the window looking outside. Alissa's face was burning as
she looked at him. He was looking so hot even like this.
"Alissa, what happened yesterday night, I hope is still between us. There is no third person" Alissa
swallowed because she has told it to Eleanor but she thought to lie.
"Uh.. Yes sir"
"Good. Alissa yesterday what happened was an accident. I was drunk and was not in my correct
senses. We don't have to think about it. You are my PA and it has to stay like this. Yesterday what
happened won't happen again. There are no special feelings for you in me. I hope you get that" Eric
said it all.
Alissa's eyes were brimming with tears. Eric couldn't see it because he was facing the window.
"Y-Yes sir" She was trying hard not to sob.
"You may leave now" He said and she quickly left the cabin.
She entered in her cabin and let out a deep sob. Tears were rolling down from her eyes. She couldn't
control her tears. God! She have to admit.
"Shit! I love him" She said. She finally said. But it's not the way she wanted it.
