“Did you hear yourself Annabel?” Jess said, rolling her eyes at her sister.

“You are not taking Elena away, you think I don’t know what you want to use her for Annabel,” king Eremus said, folding his arms under his chest.

Annabel smirked and folded her arms under her breasts, copying her ex husband. “You don’t know who you are dealing with Eremus, because if you do, you won’t open your godforsaken mouth to talk back at me,” she said and faced her sister. “And Jess, you know me too well to do what I say, whatever I want is what I will get. Give me Elena now that you are still in one piece or else….” She threatened her.

Jess smirked right back at her. “A lot has changed since you left sis, so I should be the one telling you to leave us alone or you die,” Jess said.

Eva was eavesdropping on their discussion from her room door when she heard a knock on her window. Leaving the door and going to the window she opened the curtain and didn’t see anyone, feeling scared, she opened the glass window and brought out her head to check the environment when a rose flower met her nose and Julian’s smiling face came to Eva’s view.

Eva suddenly remembered that she wasn’t wearing a mask and used her hands to cover her face very fast glaring heatedly at Julian through her barely opened eyes.

“Hey there is no need for you to hide your pretty face Eva, I have seen it before now,” Julian said smiling and Eva brought down her hands from her face still glaring at Julian.

“What do you want from me?” Eva angrily snapped.

“We were talking on the phone a few nights ago and you started flirting with another lady,” Eva said.

“We were talking and you ignored me for another lady, I bet you slept with the hooker that night,” Eva said, not hiding her jealousy.

“If that is what is making you ignore me, then I am sorry,” Julian said and represented the flower to her again. “Please accept my humble offer Eva and I won’t do it again.”

“I know your type Julian, just because you are handsome and look rich you think all the whole girls will follow you, well I am different.”

“I didn’t say you are like those girls Eva. I will try to change if that’s what will make you talk to me again like you do. I am sorry and from now henceforth you got my attention,” Julian said.

“Are you sure or you are just saying that to pull my legs?” Eva said, trying to hide her smile.

“Yes, I’m sure dear.” Julian promised. “So are we friends again?” He asked with his hopes high.

Clapping her hands together Annabel stood up from the chair. “I have come to make peace and take back my daughter, but I see you don’t want peace. And you Eremus you don’t want to give me my daughter that I asked peacefully. Be ready for war Jess, because it’s about to get too hot for the both of you.” Annabel promised. “I will take my leave but be rest assured that I will be back for you and I will forcefully take back my daughter right in front of you.” She added and made to leave but the voice of Demon stopped her immediately.

“I can’t wait to see that happen Annabel.” Demon who had been hiding in the shadows and heard their conversation made himself visible.

Annabel turned and smiled at Demon.

“Demon, should I call this fate or what?” She asked with a fake smile.

“I now know the face behind all the recent attacks I have been having, I never thought we would meet again but we did, indeed, this is fate. You are truly met to die by my hand,” Demon said to her with familiarity.

Jess raised her eyebrows once she heard that, she has the feeling that both parties know each other from the past.

Annabel laughed and smiled seductively at him. “You are looking more dashingly Demon but that won’t change the fact that you should stay off my part.”

“I know you are surprised and you will be wondering in your tiny mind why I hadn’t attacked you yet. I just want to rub it in your face that I know all your plans you had with Hades and Camilla. Your plan failed as I now know the truth,” Demon said and smirked. “You planned with those two apes and went behind their backs to get Elena to yourself, I am sure they didn’t even know the girl is your daughter yet.”

Annabel hid her shock from showing on her face. “Good for you Demon, all I want to say, stay away from my lane and mind your business. This is a family matter that isn’t your concern, the best thing you can do is to go back to Camilla.” She said.

“You got two things wrong Annabel, one, Camilla and I are no longer together in fact I have broken our mate demon bond, now she is as free as you are. And the second one, I am a full member of this family now, Elena is my Shadow Chaser mate and if you harm a single hair from her body …” Demon stopped and moved closer to her and did the unthinkable, he hugged her very close to his body and whispered into her ears. “I will destroy you.”
