Ah, so Olivier's marriage proposal was rejected, that was why he drank that night...which also opened Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
up a window for Odette to interfere, and in turn, Fleur to strike.
So registering for this marriage certificate with herself not only solved Grandma's issue but also gave a
blaring signal to Virginie herself.
If Fleur went and reclused with the Martinez family's Grandma for two years, never to leave the house
throughout, Olivier could do whatever he pleased outside, continue living his life with his lover.
After two years of reclusing, Olivier could spin up a random reason to divorce Fleur, and that would be
that. He would not be affected at all.
It was apparent now this marriage certificate that bound Fleur and Olivier together would benefit the
man greatly.
That blank sheet of paper now seemed to make a lot more sense.
Fleur tucked her hands in her pockets. She asked in a cold and calm manner, "You don't seem to like
Virginie very much. Why else would you agree to help me set him up if you knew they were together?"
Odette curled her lip and sneered. "What's to like about her? Y City once considered her to be as
beautiful as me, do you think I can stand that?"
Before Fleur could respond, she saw Olivier's eyes on her. They were dark and icy.
In that hooded glare of his was a clear message: "You should not have come."
Fleur shot him a coy smile, then strode towards him.
Virginie was still clinging to him, crying, "Olivier...what can I do? I can't forget him. How...How could he
leave me..."
"Enough." Olivier's patience seemed to have worn thin. "You have to stop these thoughts. We need to
get you home."
Holding onto Virginie, he was prepared to ignore Fleur entirely.
"Mr Martinez." Fleur called, her features rosy in the pink lights of the club. She continued,
"Get your hands off her."
Olivier did not expect that from Fleur. He turned and stared intently at her, jaw clenched.
"What did you just say?"
"I said, get your hands off her." There were many crowds around them. With a big shot like Olivier
himself here, with a woman on his arm and another confronting him out in public, was a scandal of the
times.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched the scene play out.
"How about if I got my hands on you as well? I'm sure you wouldn't mind."
Olivier raised his head briefly. Fleur was not asking for permission. He looked down at the woman in his
arms after a moment, "Are you here to blackmail me for more money or pretending to be jealous just so
you can sleep with me afterwards?"
"If I wrote down my condition for you to cut things off with Miss Lopez, or if I write both things you just
said in that paper you offered me, how would you be able to turn them down?"
The noise in the walkway quickly died out following Fleur's words.
Some were astounded at Fleur's audacity, some wondered just how complex the trio's story was, and
some trembled at the fierce air Olivier suddenly drew up around himself.
Odette, on the other hand, merely sighed in thought, "This woman is really something. Very few people
would dare face Olivier Martinez like this, and it really sounds like she's the one who hates Virginie
most."
A woman's weak, groggy voice rang loud in the silence: "Olivier....who is that...?"
Virginie made to life her head up, but before she could she collapsed into Olivier's arms, seeming to
have passed out.
Right away, Raoul, Olivier's driver, came over.
"Mr Martinez," he called.
"Send her back first," Olivier ordered, letting Raoul carry Virginie away.
Fleur was surprised at this turn of events, though it quickly died down with the realisation that Olivier
who's hands were now free, could exact any punishment he wanted on herself for what she did.
