Chapter 37
Alicia only wore a coat over her pajamas and a pair of slippers as it was night time. She carried her bag as she went down the stairs.
Frederick had his hands on the steering wheel when he saw a figure yawning while walking out. That person looked messy and dirty. Without honking, he signaled her by flickering the headlight a few times. As soon as he parked the car, she climbed in. She stuffed her things in the car and closed the door with her feet curled up.
Frederick was glaring at her as if he was watching a pile of trash being stuffed into his car. His face was full of undisguised disgust. He thought in his heart, "Did she come from the trash center? Why is she in such a mess?".
Alicia was so sleepy. She positioned herself and nestled comfortably in the car.
"Hubby, when did you come back? Why didn't you give me a call in advance and I would have gone back on my own. You don't have to come and pick me up at this hour!"
Tugging on his arm, Alicia rubbed her face against him coquettishly, "Hubby, I've troubled you! It's all my fault... Let's go home now!".
Looking at her disoriented appearance, Frederick couldn't say a word of resentment. He helped her tidy up her clothes and fastened her seat belt for her.
"Sit properly!"
"Alright!" Alicia nodded obediently. She smiled and said, "Let's go home!".
Go home?
Hearing these words again, Frederick's heart couldn't help trembling slightly. He was deeply pleased by her tone which was full of expectancy.
Did she want to go back? Did she regard that place as her "home"?
Frederick's heart was occupied by an inexplicable emotion as he started the car engine. The corners of his lips rose, as he peeped at the sleepy woman beside him from time to time. He did not feel lonely at all even when he was the only car on the road! Looking at the woman who was wearing loose pajamas and cheap clothing, he suddenly did not feel disgusted by it anymore.
After getting out of the car, Frederick took Alicia's bag.
Alice was half asleep. Along the way, she was in a daze.
When they went upstairs, it seemed that Alicia's feet had a conscience of their own. She took off her coat and headed straight to the big bed. However, when she saw the luxurious leather bed, she suddenly stopped and was obviously stunned for two seconds. She then took a turn and walked to the wardrobe.
Frederick was observing her zombie- like movements from the other side of the room. He felt that the air in the room was different. When he was about to say something, he saw that she had already taken out her silk nightgown and entered the bathroom. After a while, she came out transformed. She turned into a sexy woman from a messy beggar. She looked charming, even Frederick's breath quickened.
Perhaps, it was because she realized that her clothes were too worn out. Thus, Alicia didn't put them in the cabinet, but simply folded them and placed them in the wash basket. Then, she threw herself on the bed. Frederick had been observing her motionlessly the whole time, and he was completely ignored by Alicia.
To her, she was just changing her place of sleep, wasn't she? Was she sleepwalking? NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
After changing into pajamas, Frederick slowly got into bed.
As if she had noticed something, Alicia's body moved a little. She struggled to open her eyes and propped herself up to give him a light kiss.
"Good night, hubby!"
At first, he didn't want to torture her at such a late hour. However, he couldn't hold back his desire suddenly. Before he realized it, his hands had already reached out to her...
