Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Chapter Sixteen “The Goddess”
Amira POV
I woke up to see the bed devoid of everyone but me. But upon standing up and walking around the
suite, I saw the boys sprawled about the living room. The crib holding my baby sister was in the corner,
and I quietly approached it, flinching as my neck hurt with every step.
Little Meda was sleeping peacefully, so I decided not to disturb her. Instead I sat on the floor beside her
crib, leaning against the wall and watching her carefully. I can’t sleep after what happened.
“Your awake,” I hear Damon quietly say, as he sits beside me. I nod. “Unfortunately so.” “Don’t be like
that, baby,” he pleads. “Like what?” “Distant. Don’t shut me out.” I clench my jaw before turning to him.
“I gave you a f*****g chance, Damon. Even when you marked me without asking, I stuck with you. I
gave you my virginity.” I wipe away a tear as a realization hits. “I loved you.”
His eyes widen but I ignore it, continuing
“And after all of that, you stood back and watched as two people marked me, after I voiced my
objections. One of those people bullied me for a decade, Damon. You found me bleeding out on the
forest floor, as a result of his actions. You are proof that loving people is unsafe and unstable. You
really did me a favor and reminded me that, at the end of the day, absolutely nobody can be trusted.”
Erebus and Christian are now both awake, and come join Damon and I on the floor.”
“You’ll come to trust us. You’ll come to love us, hopefully as much as we love you. Everything will be
okay. We’ll work out.” Erebus says.
And I laugh. I actually laugh at him. “You are f*****g psychotic, Erebus: How could I possibly, ever love
you? Are you mad?” “They all are. That’s the beauty of mating” A voice rings out in the room. I’m on my
feet before the others, and have Meda safely in my arms after half a second.
“Don’t fret, child. I’m not here to hurt you” The same voice repeats, and I watch as a beautiful figure
materializes in front of me.
I feel a pull towards her. My inner wolf is drawn to her. The Moon Goddess. I kneel down to her, still
carefully holding Meda in my arms. The men follow suit. “Stand, Amira” she commands gently, and I
do. “Put the infant down, and come let me look at you.” I follow her order, and slowly approach her.
“My, my, how beautiful you are, indeed. And powerful, as well. The energy radiating off of you is
humming with potential” she informs me with a mesmerizing smile. I return the smile, having trouble
believing what is actually happening. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Though I’d love to stay, this is an impromptu visit and I don’t have a large amount of time. Boys, rise.”
She commands, and they do so.
“All of you have been mated to Amira for a reason. The three of you have what she does not, and
together-your success will have no bounds. However, forcing marks upon her? The absolute lack of
consent and communication? I’m frankly tempted to offer her new mates. However, I will do no such
thing yet. Prove yourself worthy. Not to me, but to her.
If you do not, she will have the option to leave you, and the three of you will lose her. Am I clear?”
“Yes, goddess” they all say at the same time.
The moon goddess then comes close to me and pulls me into an embrace. “I’ll be seeing you soon,
child” she promises me, before disappearing into thin air,
As soon as she’s gone, Meda starts crying. I rush over and pick her up. The poor baby must be hungry.
While I fix her formula, all three boys have seats around the living room, no doubt contemplating what’s
been said.
Yeah, bitches. Even the goddess is on my side.
