Baby With The Billionaire

Chapter 18: What are you doing?

Chapter 18: What are you doing?

Jade's Pov

It's being five days, thirteen hours and 18 minutes since the last time I saw Kyle. He was trying his best

to avoid me since our kiss. He didn't want to see me. If he had a question he would send a text or Dane

would call me. He was giving me the distance I deserve. The distance I had asked for, the distance I

created.

He sincerely believed that I disliked him; after all, I wasn't shy with my words in the letter I wrote. I

wrote everything that was going through my mind. I didn't care if my words had hurt him, in fact, there

were intending to hurt him, but all those words were written in rage and anger.

There was not one cell in my body that hated him, and he should have known this when I kissed him.

There was no way a person would hate someone as much as my words state yet kiss that person as I

did him. He should have sensed what I felt. I couldn't hate him even if I tried.

When I think about his words to his friend, they still hurt. It will always hurt. knowing he said those

things about me and no matter how many times he apologizes, there is always going to be that

memory hanging in the way. But even with the memory of all the bad, the good things win. I can't stop

thinking about our nights together. We'd just talk and talk then I'd wake up with his arms around me.

Not having that closeness anymore made me miss him so much, so much that all the pain just

vanished because I needed him more than I have time to hate him.

I missed him, I missed him a lot.

.........................

"Wait! Wait for me!" I shouted to the closing elevator doors.

Before the door had a chance to close a hand came out, which the sensors got and the door began to

open.

"Thank you." I smiled as a walked up to the open doors of the elevator. "Thanks...... Oh, it's you. Hi."

Kyle smiled at me and then he noticed the shopping bags in my hand. He stepped closer to me and

took the shopping bags from my hands.

"Thanks," I said with a smile. His face had a few lines on it, he looked tired. He had a tiny band-aid on

his face, he probably cut himself while shaving. His hair also grew and needed cutting. It's funny how

many things you can notice about a person when you haven't seen them in five days.

"You're Welcome. I didn't know you went out today."

"Well, I wasn't planning to go out, but Josh called me, and I went and have lunch with him on the way

back I was feeling hungry so I when to the supermarket to get a few things." Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

He laughed and look down at the bags. "A few things?" his brows raised.

With a smile on my face, I replied. "I am a growing woman and plus I am pregnant with your baby."

He smiled. "I see." After a few moments of silence, he asked. "How is decorating and designing

going?"

"Well, I've found the perfect design a magazine and I loved it. I think you will too."

"If you love it then I love it."

I smile. "It's not that easy. I want you to come and look at it."

"Why don't you just send me a picture?"

I bite my lips. "Well, I've actually started buying furniture for both rooms." I looked up waiting for a

response from him, but I didn't get any. "I thought you might have changed your mind where decorating

was concerned so I kind of ordered most things already."

He smiled. "You don't have to look so guilty. Anything you choose I'll be happy with it. As long as you

are happy then I'm okay."

"Okay, Great. I also forgot to tell you that the painters are coming tomorrow so you might want to leave

your key with me because they'll be painting both rooms."

"My door is always open."

I raised my brows at him. "You don't close your door, why not?"

"This is a private floor only me and you have access to it and there are cameras all over." His

statement shocks me because I didn't really know anything about the building. I never even noticed the

cameras.

"That means I can go in your room anytime I want," I stated without realizing but I quickly added, "not

that I would if you are not there."

He smiled. "I wouldn't mind if you did. I have nothing to hide."

"I wouldn't though, that's your private space and I don't want to intrude."

"It wouldn't be intruding if you are invited." The elevator doors binged which meant we were on our

floor.

I walked out of the private elevator and Kyle followed behind me with the groceries in his hands. I

opened my handbag and took out my keys to open my door. When the door was open he made his

way over to the kitchen and placed the groceries on the container. He slowly started to take them out of

the bag, but I stopped him.

"What are you doing?"

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm unpacking the groceries."

I moved over to him and rest my hands on the bags. "You don't have to do that." I'm the one eating

them, I should be the one unpacking them.

"I want to unless you have something you're trying to hide." He said with a smile.

I returned his smile. "I don't. It's just that I've never had anyone pack my groceries out for me."

"What about your brother?"

I laughed at his question. Kyle didn't know Josh at all. "If I don't cook then the refrigerator wouldn't need

to plug in. He always eats out."

"Wow, that's bad. I wonder how he's surviving without you?"

I smile. "I was wondering about the same thing too but then I realize that he's doing okay without me."

"He hasn't gotten in any trouble lately, has he?" I lifted the milk out of the bag and place it on the

counter.

"No, he hasn't. Ever since he found out I am pregnant he blames himself." I laughed a little. "If I had

known that getting pregnant would calm him down I would a long time ago."

"I'm glad you didn't though."

I smile when I felt a sudden urge to pee. "Excuse me, I have to use the bathroom. I'll be right back." I

quickly ran to the bathroom. My bladder hasn't been my best friend since this baby was conceived. I

always want to pee and I'm always hungry. My belly was already becoming bigger in a few weeks it will

be noticeable and It didn't mind at all. I am already so attached to the idea of being a mother that I don't

even regret that I become pregnant.

Kyle just said he was glad I didn't get pregnant before, was it because me getting pregnant before

would mean that we didn't get a chance to meet or would it mean he was happy to be my first.

I sigh. I wash my hands and walk back into the kitchen where Kyle was throwing out the empty bags.

"You okay?"

I smile. "I'm good, the baby is actually behaving today."

"That's good. I'm glad because there is a restaurant that just opened, and I think you'll love it. You said

you were hungry and that place is all-you-can-eat dining. Are you interest?"

Was that his way of asking me out on a date? Or Was he just trying to feed me because I'm carrying

his baby?

"Well, I just ate about fifteen minutes ago."

"Perfect, we have a lot of time then, the place doesn't open until 5 but we can go around 7 by that time

you'll be starving again."

"That's true."

"Great. I'll have to come for you at 5." He washed his hands and was walking in the direction of the

door.

"Are you going back to work or you'll be here?"

"I just came back for some files, but I will make it back in time for our little date. I will let Dane book us a

table, so you won't be in a long wait."

"Perfect. I can't wait."

I walked over to him and place a kiss on his cheeks. "Thanks. I really appreciate your help and

kindness."

He smiled and walk to the door. "You don't deserve anything less."
