After the Divorce: From Heartbreak to Heiress Boss

Chapter 2

Chapter 2 Going Home

The helicopters' doors swung open, and a swarm of suited bodyguards strolled towards Leah, bowing low.

"Miss Wilson."

"Hmm," Leah nodded.

Her eyes wandered past the guards, who quickly cleared a path for a dashing man.

"Leah!" The man rushed towards her.

"Ethan!" Leah cried, leaping into his arms.

Ethan Wilson, Leah's big brother, held her tight. His calm voice eased her worries a bit.

"Don't fret, Leah. I'll get you home."

*At the Wilson's Residence*

The helicopters finally touched down on a massive lawn.

Not far off, a grand mansion sat, surrounded by lush greenery and precious plants.

Kaden Wilson, a hotshot in Ocanni City, was buzzing with anticipation for his daughter's arrival.

"Dad, Mom, I'm here!" Leah exclaimed, running over and throwing herself into her parents' arms, "and, I'm divorced..."

Laura Wilson, Leah's mom, gracefully reached out and gave her daughter's slim shoulder a comforting pat.

"Don't worry, darling. We got your back. Your three brothers will do as well. No one's gonna mess with you anymore."

"Mom, it's so good to have you here," Leah tightened the embrace.

"Leah, did you dump him 'cause he messed up?" Laura asked suspiciously, squinting her eyes.

"Nah, my bad. I was such a fool for trying to love someone who didn't love me. Mom, I won't repeat that mistake, trust me," Leah said firmly.

Laura let out a sigh. She had warned Leah about Quentin's memory loss, but Leah didn't listen.

Now that Leah realized it, Laura felt relieved.

"That's awesome. My strong daughter is back," she smiled.

Kaden excitedly waved his hand. "Let's donate a billion dollars in Leah's name to the orphanage's charity project, so that jerk knows what my daughter can do." Ethan grinned. "Sure thing."

Leah's phone rang. It was a call from her brother Luke Wilson.

"I've got a divorce gift for you. Check Twitter," he said.

Leah opened Twitter and saw that Luke had cut all ties with Worthington Group, and it was trending.

Luke was a famous actor, so people

As a result, the company's stocks took a nosedive.

Quentin must be freaking out trying to handle this, right?

"Well done!" Leah felt a wave of triumph.

After hanging up, Leah rejoined her family in the living room.

A girl in a pink dress burst in.

"Congrats on the divorce! I've missed you like crazy, honey," Janet Hall exclaimed, brimming with excitement.

Janet was Leah's best friend, and they shared everything.

"I miss you too." Leah squeezed her in a tight hug.

"Go get ready. We're hitting the bar to celebrate, okay?" Janet suggested and gave Leah's shoulder a gentle pat.

"Sure thing." Leah smiled and headed to the wardrobe to pick out a dress.

*At the bar*

As Leah walked in wearing a striking red dress, all eyes were on her.

Janet, holding Leah's arm, grinned. "Look at you, turning heads. Forget about Quentin, alright? Men are lining up from Ocanni to Furtados for you."

Leah smiled in response, no longer affected by Quentin's name lingering in her head.

"Wanna meet some hot dudes?" Janet led Leah to the couch and said.

Leah shook her head. "Nah, not into guys. I'm all about my career."

Meanwhile, at a booth on the left side of the bar, Quentin swirled his wine with a frown, clearly in a sour mood.

Luke had cut off all cooperation with Worthington Group, dealing a major blow to Quentin's company.

Quentin's friend, Harry Murphy, understood what was bugging him.

Harry quipped, "Hey, at least you're rid of that clingy ex-wife. No more torment!"

Quentin glanced at him but stayed silent. Harry signaled to Yohan Baker, who was next to him.

Just as Yohan was about to change the subject, he caught sight of a familiar woman and stuttered, "Quentin, am I seeing things? Is that your wife? Oh, sorry, your ex-wife!"
