Chapter 383 Bad News from America
Chapter 383 Bad News from America
Daniel Si shook his head, and told Janet, "Jane, money won't work this time. I have to go solve this
problem personally."
"Okay!" Janet understood that Daniel was, after all, the President of the company, and that sometimes
he had to deal with the business personally. "When are you supposed to leave?"
"The day after tomorrow."
Janet was surprised, and said, "The day after tomorrow? So soon?"
"Yes, but please stay at home while I'm gone. When I'm not here, you can either live in the manor or
stay with our parents." Daniel didn't want Janet to stay alone when he wasn't around her.
Janet knew that the parents Daniel was talking about were Ella and Samuel. She nodded, and
answered him, "When I miss you, I'll stay in the manor, and when I don't, I'll live together with my
parents!"
Daniel frowned, and warned her, "How dare you not miss me?"
Janet pouted, and said, "It all depends on you. If you make me angry, then I won't miss you! But if you
don't, then I'll miss you every day while you are gone." It all depended on Daniel.
Daniel pinched her nose lovingly, and said, "Little naughty girl!"
"I'll never be a lady!" Janet never said that she would.
"Yes, you'll never be a lady, but at least you'll always be my little fairy!" Daniel then suddenly pulled
Janet to him, and pinned her on the bed underneath him.
Janet rejected him, and tried to push him away, and said, "You're always saying that I'm your fairy, but
I've never charmed you!"
"You've charmed me without having to do anything. You know what would happen if you ever tried to
charm me..." After saying this, Daniel brought his lips closer to Janet's.
"Wow, you're such a rascal!" she said.
"Yes, I am; and the rascal wants a kiss. Honey, kiss me!"
Janet laughed, and asked, "Daniel, why are you so brazen all the time?"
Daniel kissed her red lips, and replied, "If I'm not brazen, then how can I kiss you?"
After saying this, Daniel didn't give Janet any chance to argue with him any longer. He had to do
something about having their third child, their son!
Time quickly flew by, and the time for Daniel to leave soon came. Janet looked at him, and said, "Take
care of yourself." In order to fool the others and hide his tracks, Daniel had first bought a ticket to
America. His plan was that after he landed there, he would board on a private jet and then fly to Z
Country, his final destination.
Daniel only answered, "Okay."
"Daddy, I promise I will be good in kindergarten!"
"Me too!" said his twin daughters. Although they wanted to cry, they didn't, because hey didn't want
their daddy to feel sad. They held their tears in front of Daniel.
Daniel picked his daughters from Lola and Harry, and kissed them, and said, "Good girls! You two stay
at home and take care of your mommy while I'm gone! Okay?"
"Yes, daddy."
"Okay."
Janet stared at Daniel with a pair of foggy eyes, and wondered, 'Does Daniel think that I'm weaker than
the kids?'
Considering that Daniel was leaving, she thought, 'I won't argue with him now.'
Daniel passed the twins back to his parents. He wasn't used to saying goodbye. When Daniel wanted
to talk to Sven and Jerry, Lola held his hand, and said, "Son, take care of yourself."
Lola had known Daniel's final destination, and she wanted him to be safe.
Daniel hugged his mother, and said, "Yes, mother, I will."
Daniel had always argued with his parents, Lola and Harry, but, the saying 'blood is thicker than water'
now seemed to be fitting to Daniel.
Looking at Jerry and Sven next to his parents, Daniel patted their shoulders, and said, "Take good care
of them."
Both of them understood to whom Daniel was referring.
Jerry patted Daniel's shoulder, and asked, "Why do you consider us as outsiders? Janet is my sister,
and the twins are my nieces."
Sven casually smiled, and said, "If you don't trust us, then come back soon and protect them yourself!"
They looked at each other, and Daniel smiled and nodded.
Daniel waved to the group of people, and said, "Okay, all of you, go back home now." He then turned
his back and left.
Looking at Daniel's back, Janet couldn't control herself anymore. Her eyes filled with tears, she ran
towards him.
"Daniel!" she shouted at him when Daniel was already at the security checkpoint.
Hearing her voice, Daniel turned around, and held his wife in his arms.
He joyfully thought, and took his lovely wife, or his lovely fairy, in his arms.
"Daniel, I want to come along with you!" Janet sobbed as she told him her thought.
He smiled at her, and while he raised her chin, ignoring the public, he kissed her.
Two minutes later, Daniel continued going on his way without any sort of hesitation.
But Janet was still crying...
Lola walked up to Janet and hugged her, and said, "Come on, let's go home now."
But Janet shook her head, because she didn't want to leave.
"Silly girl, you two can have video calls. You do have a phone, don't you?" All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Janet nodded. She then wiped her tears off of her face, and left the airport along with her family.
But in the evening, when Janet entered the No. 9 mansion, she started to cry again.
She took out her phone and called Daniel. But Daniel's phone had been switched off. Only a few hours
had past since his departure, and she thought that he must still be in the plane.
Janet couldn't live in the house without Daniel, so she returned to her own mansion instead.
At midnight, Janet got Daniel's message. It read, "Honey, I arrived."
Janet was still sleepless at that time, and she called Daniel immediately, and said, "Honey, I miss you!"
"Me too..."
...
For the next few hours, they spoke to each other over the phone, but neither of them wanted to hang
up.
At two in the morning, when Daniel had reached his overseas mansion, he said, "Jane, go to sleep. I
also need to take a bath."
"Okay then, call me tomorrow."
"Yes, I promise."
After Daniel's assured her that he would, Janet hung up first.
The following day, Janet moved to Leroy Manor, because in her mansion there was no trace of Daniel.
At the Leroy Manor, Janet felt safe only inside Daniel's bedroom.
During the first week of his absence, Daniel had called Janet every day. But in the following weeks,
Daniel stopped calling her that often, and Janet didn't know what was wrong. She didn't want to bother
him either, and instead refrained from calling him too often.
In the middle of March, a bad news arrived from America. It said that Daniel's mansion had been
bombed, and that he couldn't escape...
It was Sally who had hastily driven to Janet's manor and told her of the horrible news.
At that time, Janet was cooking eggs for the twins, but when she heard of the news, her face went pale
in an instant, and her heart sunk. The pot fell from her hand to the floor, but fortunately it had only cold
water in it, and nobody was hurt.
The water splashed all over the ground, and the eggs shattered.
Janet was in a mess, and her ears were ringing severely from the shock. She couldn't hear a thing.
Janet looked at Sally, who was restlessly walking up and down. She could see Sally's lips move, but
she couldn't hear a word.
Later, after Harry received a call from Brian, he went downstairs and found that Janet was lying on the
floor, fainted.
