Accidentally Married

Branch One Hundred and Sixty Five

For the next few days, Olivia felt like Roselle was watching her intensely. Today was the last day of the month and she had to disappear from their lives before the sunrise of the first day of the next month.

She had packed the little bag she brought with her. Every other thing she had acquired while living there she arranged into the wardrobe. She refused dinner that night claiming she was starting a new dinner routine. Jessica knowing how frivolous her aunt was knew she might have been trying out a new meal plan or diet.

She waited for the house to fall silent and for everyone to fall asleep. She was grateful her bag was not big enough to be mistaken as a travel bag. She could easily convince the security men that it was just a bag and she would be back after receiving fresh air from outside.

She pushed herself out of the house and she was quick to make it to the estate gate without getting questioned. She knew her life of Jessica was in danger but if Jessica happened to get kidnapped by those men, Xavier would pay the ransom which would lead her to be debt-free too.

She muttered an apology within herself for being the worst kind of aunt before she walked out of the gate. She called a taxi and headed away. She was not sure where exactly it was she was going but she had to go far away from them.

She did not want to be there when the whole drama would happen between them. She knew those men, they never forgave anyone. She was already on her way to a secluded town on the outskirts of the city by the time the day was breaking.

“Please can you call my aunt and Genevieve to come join us for breakfast?” Jessica asked Angel as she put the last of the food she had prepared on the table.

“Yes young lady,” Angel said. She bowed a little and moved to go call the aunties to come have breakfast.

She first knocked on Genevieve’s door. “Hello ma’am, the young lady said to call you for breakfast as it has been served,” Angel said.

“Oh okay, let me put on something more suitable and I will be there soon,” Genevieve said before closing the door behind the girl nodded and moved to the next door.

Angel knocked on the door. She waited a few minutes for Olivia to come to the door but nothing. She pressed her ears to the door to try and hear for any movement inside the room. She was met with dead silence.

She knocked again and turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. A spotlessly clean empty room stared back at her. She pushed herself into the room and searched thoroughly but the room was empty. She turned and left the room closing the door behind her.

“Young lady, lady Olivia is not in the room. It seems as if she had left”

“She left?” Jessica asked facing Angel.

“Yes, the room is spotless and clean, there is no sign of one sleeping there”

“That’s strange,” Jessica said as she walked to the room to check out what she was saying. Just right as she was exiting the dining room Xavier was coming down the stairs.

He watched her go towards the room that Olivia had been and he followed her. She opened the door and entered. She walked to the bathroom and pushed open the door, the floor was dry. She closed the door and walked to the room. She opened the wardrobe to notice that the majority of the things there were gone.

She turned back to see Xavier standing there. “She is gone,” she tells him.

“She is gone?”

“Yeah and that is very strange she had never gone on her own this easily without collecting any money before,” she said crossing her hand over her chest.

“What could be going on?” Jessica added before walking toward him.

“I am sure we can know where she is if we watch the security camera,” Xavier said.

“I am not worried about her, I just want to know what made her leave so easily,” Jessica said.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“Tell that to the worry lines on your forehead,” he said taking her hands. “Let us go see where she went through the camera,” he said as she led her to the CCTV control room on the outskirts of the mansion.

As they watched the camera they saw that she willingly left the house with her legs and ordered a taxi by the gate of the estate.

“You see she left willingly, I am sure she will be back soon,” Xavier said massaging her shoulders.

“I already told you I was not worried about her,” Jessica said standing up and walking out of the room.

“Young lady, I am sorry I am just telling you this” Roselle said as they entered the house. Xavier motioned for her to go on.

“I don’t know if it is related but I saw Ms. Joshua inside the young masters closet the other day and she looked very suspicious”

“I am sure she was just looking around” Jessica defended. Her aunt was many things that were not good but at least she was not a thief. She knew that we’d. She had gotten into too many troubles but never as a thief.

“Okay if you say so”

They had breakfast and left the house. Xavier wanted to take Jessica with him but he received an urgent call from work which made him hurry to work. Jessica went to work with one of the drivers. He dropped her off and went home because she told him she would be going home with Xavier.

Xavier was just coming out of the emergency meeting when his phone rang and it was Jessica.

“Do you miss me already? It’s been barely three hours” he teased.

“To get your wife back you need to pay a ransom” a man’s voice echoed back instead.

“What?”

“I will give you a few minutes to make up your mind if you want to see your wife again or else I will take her with me as a repayment of my debt” the man continued.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean you have two hours exactly to give me twenty million and I will let your wife go or else…” he trailed off with disgusting laughter.

“Don’t you dare lay a finger on my wife. If you do I will ensure you can never use those fingers again”
