Chapter 27
Chapter 27
The long-awaited wedding had finally arrived,
Sitting in front of the mirror, Sienna was beaming as she admired herself dressed in a wedding gown.
Adjusting the diamond crown on her head, Sienna whined, “Oh my, this crown is so heavy. I’m afraid my neck be aching by the end of the day”
The bridesmaids had just changed into their gowns, but they were unsatisfied with their dresses. They exchanged looks when they heard Sienna’s comments. “Goodness gracious, Sienna looks absolutely stunning today!” they said, trying to placate her.
Sienna was walking on cloud nine after being showered with compliments. However, she let out a shriek when she saw her group o f bridesmaids, “Oh my gosh! Why do you girls look so hideous and fat in those?”
With just one comment, Sienna managed to offend the entire group of bridesmaids. The bridesmaids, Sienna’s “friends”, were now cursing Sienna under their breath.
Sienna, who had carefully picked out her wedding dress, had done a poor job when it came to choosing her bridesmaid’s dresses. The dresses were a bright shade of pink and they were poorly sewn. All of the dresses looked like tags, and they were a size smaller than the bridesmaids who wore them.
The bridesmaids were furious and flabbergasted when they had changed into their dresses. All they wanted was to take off the dresses and throw them at Sienna’s face.
It was obvious that Sienna was simply using them as an accessory.
Sienna, on the other hand, was not satisfied with her make-up. “My skin is too fair. Can you add some freckles here? I really do envy girls who naturally have freckles,” said Sienna to the makeup artist.
One of the bridesmaids who was insecure about her freckles cursed Sienna under her breath, “Jeez, what’s so great about getting married? I hope she gets a divorce!’
Apart from Sienna, who was rambling on in happiness, the rest of the bridesmaids remained silent.
“A woman in her wedding gown definitely looks the prettiest. It’s a pity that I only get to marry once in my life. Wouldn’t it be nice i f I could get married every day,”
“Director Jace!”
Sienna was cut off by someone who had greeted Jace. Heart pounding, Sienna swallowed her words before turning around to smile at Jace.
“Jace dear,” Sienna said softly, suddenly giving into shyness.
Jace was dressed in an all-white suit. He looked exactly like a prince who walked out of a fairytale. The bridesmaids were stunned by how charming he looked, and jealousy brewed in their hearts.
They wondered how Sienna, the old and cunning witch, ended up with such a wealthy and handsome young man.
Walking toward Sienna, Jace asked worriedly, “How’s everything? Is your body holding up okay?”
Sienna’s gaze wavered, but she quickly said in a voice laced with honey, “I’m fine. I’m not as weak as you think I am.”
Scanning Jace, she then quickly changed the topic and said, “You look good in whatever you wear. Jace, from today onwards, I want to address you differently.”
This got the bridesmaids interested. “How do you plan on addressing him? Honey? Darling?” they asked curiously.
“Goodness, you girls are making me blush. Those are too old-fashioned. I don’t like it.”
Blushing, Sienna stared at Jace with her big eyes that were framed by extended eyelashes, and said shyly, “Can I call you Jay?”
Jace’s face cracked the moment he heard that name.
“Jay, stay still, let me change your clothes.”
“Jay, don’t worry. As long as you keep up with physiotherapy, I’m sure that you’ll be able to stand on your feet again! I’ll always be b y your side!” Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Jay, have you got off work? I’ve made some of your favorite food, beef lasagna and chicken pie!”
“Jace, please talk to me.”
Clang!
Throwing a pile of snacks onto the coffee table, Sage sat cross-legged on the sofa as she opened a bag of chips. She was staring at the TV. The wedding would be broadcasted live.
Looking at his sister who was planning to stuff herself with junk food, Luther said, “I mean, why are you torturing yourself? What’s the point?!”
