A Night's Mistake: The Besotted CEO's Obsession

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

In a dimly lit room by the floor–to–ceiling windows, Cynthia Larson rested her hands against the glass weakly, her eyes misting over, Her dress had slid down to her waist, revealing her exquisite curves. Her lips, a vivid red, were slightly parted, as if inviting, bewitching someone’s soul.

Below, the street was bustling with people; a deep sense of shame rose within Cynthia, making her instinctively want to back away.

“Be good,” a man’s low and hoarse voice sounded from behind her. She then felt his strong masculine scent envelop her, overwhelming her senses.

Instantly, the bedroom filled with a steamy vibe.

Cynthia woke up at nine the following morning, her entire body aching as if it had fallen apart, feeling sore whenever she moved. Uncomfortably, she reached to soothe her aching waist, the memory of last night suddenly flooding back. It seemed the man had a particular fondness for her waist, his hands never leaving her there throughout their encounter.

“You’re awake” A male voice suddenly sounded, interrupting Cynthia’s not–so–decent recollections.

Cynthia turned her head in alarm, “Why are you still here?”

The man was propped casually against the headboard, the blanket just barely covering his lower half, his perfect torso and defined muscles on full display.

Hearing her question, his chest vibrated lightly in amusement as he looked at her with deep interest, teasingly saying, “If I’m not mistaken, this is my room. I wonder how you found your way here, Ms. Larson!”

Only then did Cynthia look around and remember why she was in this room

Larson Group had faced significant financial issues over the last two months. In a desperate bid to attract investors, Mason Larson, Cynthia’s father had spiked her drink and intended to offer her as a gift to an investor. She escaped in the nick of time and stumbled into this room, the rest of the night’s events driven by the drug’s effects,

“How do you know my last name? Cynthia asked, her tone dropping as a wave of suspicion rose within her. ‘Did this man plan this with

my

father

too!

He handed her a few sheets from his nightstand, all filled with her information.

She relaxed a bit after reading the sheets, relieved that this man had no ties to her father. “You investigated me?” she asked while putting away the

papers.

Maising an eyebrow, he responded. “I have the right to know everything about my woman.

“What do you mean by that?” Cynthia was startled so much that she sat up abruptly in bed, accidentally pulling off the already seant blanket covering him

He gave her a long, lingering look. The sight of the beautiful man, bare and unfazed, and certain parts looking ready for another round, was enough to make Cynthia’s eyes widen.

Flushing, she turned away and quickly apologized. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. Well, yesterday, I came into your room, but you, as a man, didn’t lose out on anything. There’s no need for you to go this far.”

Cynthia decided not to re–cover him, instead wrapping herself tightly in the blanket, now very aware of her lack of attire.

The man frowned, his voice deepening. “Did you think you can come and go from my bed as you please!”

“What do you want, then?” she asked, her head aching with the question.

“Be my wonun. You were the one who got into my bed first. To be fair, I’ll decide when it’s over.”

Cynthia felt overwhelmed.

He got up and started dressing, slipping into a suit that screamed expense and luxury, covering those wild muscles. Paired with his deep, refined features, he exuded a clean and noble air. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Pulling out a business card, he handed it to Cynthia, his crisp voice sounding. “My name is Liam Sullivan, and this is my card. I’m giving you three days to think it over. If you decide you want to, come find me at Sullivan Group. If not, Ill come to you. With that he pinched her delicate check with his long fingers. “Girl, don’t even think of escaping”
