A Kiss With The Alpha King

CHAPTER 20 NEED A LUNA

RHYS

The days were drawing nearer to the deadline I had given to Clawride Pack but my mind was elsewhere. Since the events at the library, I had not come across PP69 again. On more than one occasion, I was tempted to s**r some books in there so that someone would have to come arrange them, hopefully her. However, I did not because firstly, it would be childish and secondly, someone else might be assigned and it would make it all for nothing.

I sulked for weeks, hiding my new discovery from Mars and Matilda. My old caregiver was worried about me but chose not to bother me with questions. I would c**k when I was ready but I preferred to have at least one secret from her. She knew me too well and it was weird sometimes.

When it was a week to my deadline, I contacted the guards I had left behind in Clawride Pack for updates on their search.

“I am very sorry, Master but we have found nothing yet. We do not have much to go on with anymore. According to your orders, we assembled all the females in the pack, single and married alike. Using your description of the missing girl, we screened them all but came up with nothing. The closest person to that description is old and married, definitely not the girl you seek. I am

n sorry.”

I was not as angry as I thought I should be. It was not their fault that I had forgotten to get the girl’s name. It could have gone a long way in finding her. Then I realized something. I had also not asked S**nt PP69 for her real name. What was wrong with me?

“Continue to be diligent in your search, Emery. You will receive supplies through Mars. Keep your eyes and ears open. Once a month is up, you are to bring me a girl.”

“Understood, Master,” Emery replied accordingly.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

The phone went dead and I slipped it into my pocket. It was a cloudy morning, the cool breeze shaking my window shutters. My blankets were cold and it was on days like this that I felt the loneliness. the most. My penis hung as flaccid as a noodle in my shorts, without any surge of excitement. I had tried getting it up but my thoughts of PP69 were beginning to fade.

It was her hand I wanted jacking me to a noisy, dirty finish and my own big palm was not doing a good job in that department. When my shaft remained uncooperative, I took a bath and put my disappointment behind me. I was better off not thinking about it. Instead, I found an unfinished bottle of rum under my bed and attacked it with a glass.

Someone knocked on my door and I was too lazy to get up from my stomach.

“Who is it?” I groaned, my words m**d by my sheets.

CHAPTER 20 NEED A LUNA

“It’s Matilda,”

I wanted to be alone to feel sorry for myself but I could not send her away.

“Come in then.”

Matilda let herself in, immediately scanning the environment. She was carrying a tray laden with food and placed it on a small coffee table. The smell of the food filled the atmosphere and I sat up against my will, leaning towards the glass of rum sitting on my desk.

Tilly tutted in disapproval and shook her head. I stopped halfway but in a sudden rush of defiance, I picked it up and gulped it down in one go. I was no gentleman and I was not going to pretend to be

what I wasn’t.

“Good morning, Alpha. I see you have picked up the habit of having a drink before a meal again.”

“So?” I retorted, eyeing the whole bottle like it was a nude, busty woman.

Knowing my intentions, she s**d up the bottle and walked calmly to the bathroom. I heard the contents going down the toilet followed by the sound of flushing. She came back and sat down without asking me for permission, eyeballing me fiercely. Tilly was more or less my mother and I let her get away with a lot of things I would kill others for. Digging my hand behind my pillow, I pulled out another full bottle of rum and nursed it close to my chest.

“Why are you here, Tilly?”

She dragged her eyes away from the bottle and pushed the tray towards me. Tilly was in charge of my personal care. She cooked for me, cleaned my room and ordered my medicine as soon as the old ones finished. Some were not exactly finished I had flushed them down the toilet- but she did not

have to know that.

She had made toast, scrambled eggs and flavored tea. Goddess knew what root she had added to the but it was usually mixed with some new recipe for virility. I was hungry so I ate, waiting for her to state her business.

“The people are talking, my Lord and it is not good.”

I continued eating, familiar with her excessive love for suspense. When she was ready, she would tell me everything. She was clearly not bothered by my nonchalance, building momentum for whatever she was about to say.

“It is past time for you to find Luna, my Lord. You must find one and mate with her before the people lose faith in you.”

My fork clattered against my plate, her words unwelcome to my ears.

CHAPTER 20 – NEED A LUNA

“I must? Under whose orders?” I demanded to know, abandoning my breakfast. Tilly was

unperturbed by my anger, her expression neutral and serious.

“Any strong Alpha needs a Luna to balance him, to share responsibilities with him and to bring him peace. I was hoping that by now, you would have chosen one of your mistresses for the job. Any one of them should do. You don’t have to necessarily love her.”

What nonsense was she saying? The people I led needed me and me alone to guide them. It was true that I was a bit too young but my accomplishments had proven otherwise. Moreover, how could I keep a woman I couldn’t gain pleasure from? It would be another form of torture.

“You know why I don’t have a Luna, Tilly,” was all I said and all the fight left her body. Her motherly smile, the one I liked was present and her concern for me battled against her duty towards me. She came to sit beside me on the bed.

“Rhys,” she began and I knew she was no longer talking to me as a caregiver but as a mother. “You have banished your mother. Isn’t it time you let go of this bitterness? You are only hurting yourself emotionally.”

I got up, afraid I would break down and make a fool of myself. My feet moved me to the door and I leaned against it heavily. Other people fell in love and married their mates. Why was my case different? Why should I have to settle for less, a mere arranged marriage? I deserved love, especially when I had been starved of the emotion as a child.

“If I were to ever want a Luna, I want someone who is mine. My mother has nothing to do with this. Anyone I marry would realize sooner or later that I can’t…I can’t…b**y perform like a normal male! I want someone who would understand me and will be okay with this! Is there such a woman?”

Tilly was silent, answering my question without having to say anything. The only person who had made me feel like a man had disappeared into thin air. The only person…

“Tilly, do you know S**t PP69?”
