A Flash Marriage Can Be A Treasure

Chapter 578 Follow the Wife

Chapter 578 Follow the Wife

“Not spicy enough.” Lily responded and when she realized what he was doing, she was speechless,

“I’m talking to you about Francis yet you’re asking if the beef is delicious?”

Louis also took a piece of it and tasted it. After eating it, he said, “It’s okay, if it’s too spicy, your

stomach wouldn’t be able to take it.”

“Louis.” Lily patted him, “Did you, do it?”

“Daniel is still in a coma, where do you want me to find people to deal with Francis?” Louis smiled with

a calm face, “There is no airtight wall in the world, he has to bear the consequence if he had done

wrong.”

Lily thought so too.

Daniel was still in a coma in Country XL, and Louis had no contacts, hence of course he couldn’t deal

with Francis.

However, Louis, who had been busy some time ago, didn’t reply to her on Facebook, and neither did

John, which made her wonder what they had done.

Lily was in a daze, and Louis suddenly hit her on the buttocks.

“Go get the bowls and chopsticks, let’s eat.”

“You...” Lily was taken aback, feeling that the butt was getting hot, “Do you believe that I will sue you for

harassment!” Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

The man smiled, “Sue me for harassing my child’s mother?”

Lily muttered to the old hooligan in her heart and opened the cupboard in frustration to get the dishes

and chopsticks.

In addition to boiled beef, Louis also fried cabbage, along with the lotus root soup from JS Restaurant,

it was a sumptuous meal.

The bean sprouts in the boiled beef were very tender, and almost all of them were picked out by Lily.

Louis smiled a little bit when he saw her having such a hearty appetite, “Has my cooking skills

improved?”

Of course, Lily also felt it when she ate boiled beef.

However, she didn’t want to praise this man, lest he becomes proud, so she had to be picky and said,

“The ingredients were all ready-made. As long as you follow the steps, the seasoning was also

prepared, even if the dog made it, it would be delicious!”

“I cut the beef, marinated it, and there is no seasoning.” Louis corrected her, “I also washed and

removed the root of the bean sprouts individually.”

“What?” Lily looked up at him and was shocked, “You removed the bean sprouts individually? I was

wondering why you took more than an hour to cook the boiled beef!”

Louis took a piece of beef and placed it in her bowl, “I tasted the raw one before, the tail wasn’t good. I

removed it all. Doesn’t the texture feel good?”

Lily ate the beef and said vaguely, “I thought it was young bean sprouts...Ahem!”

She spoke too quickly that she choked.

Before Louis had time to hand over the water, Lily grabbed the lemonade next to him and drank most of

it, and most of the piquancy was gone.

Louis ran to pat her back for her, “How’s it?”

“I’m okay,” Lily felt that they were too close, so she distanced himself from him, “Sit back and eat.”

After making sure that she was feeling not uncomfortable, Louis sat back, picked up the cup, drank the

half glass of lemonade, and went to pour another glass, while Lily was dumbfounded.

She blushed instantly, and said with some lack of confidence, “Don’t you have your own, why are you

drinking mine?”

After Louis came back and sat down, he stretched out his hand and brought a glass of watermelon

juice, “Yours is watermelon juice, that was mine.”

The man said, “Forget it, it’s not the first time that Mrs. Smith has done this. I’m used to it.”

Lily recalled that when they met for the second time when they were talking about business matters in

the club and she accidentally drank his red wine, her face blushed even more. She touched her belly

with her hand and immediately straightened her waist.

“Even the child is yours, what’s wrong with drinking from your glass!”

Louis chuckled when he saw her pretending to be calm yet talked with a flair of arrogance, “Mrs. Smith

is right.”

This was what he liked about Lily. She could cause trouble and get angry; she would do whatever she

wants without concealing her small temper in front of him. This proved that she still has him in her

heart, and it made him feel at ease.

Due to the late lunch being prepared by Louis, by the time they finished their meal, it was already 2 pm.

Lily was in a food coma and wanted to head in to take a nap, so she wanted to chase Louis off.

However, Louis said that he had sent a message to Chandler, and he would leave when Chandler

came back.

Lily didn’t doubt him, so she yawned as she walked into the room to take a nap, while Louis continued

to clean outside.

By the time Lily woke up, it was past six o’clock and the sky was a little dark.

She changed her clothes after washing up and was still thinking if she wanted to bring Chandler out to

have pizza. She hadn’t eaten it for a long time, and she could still outright order some ice cream too.

When she left her bedroom, she saw that only Louis was in the living room. She was dumbfounded,

“Why haven’t you left yet?”

Louis glanced at her, and while busy with work, he replied casually, “Chandler later called to inform that

he wanted to stay in with Justin. I was worried about letting you be alone at home.”

“Isn’t there still a dog and a cat?” Lily pointed to the two animals lying at Louis’s feet.

“They’re not human beings after all, and they can’t take good care of you.”

Lily stared at the man and didn’t even know how to chase him away. She could only swallow her

frustrations down; she went to the living room to sit far away from him and picked up an orange from

the fruit tray.

The living room was very quiet. There was only the occasionally crisp sound of the man’s fingers

tapping on the computer.

Half an hour later, Louis finally finished with work, closed the computer, rubbed his sore eyebrows, and

looked up to see the woman lazily lying on another sofa.

It was a very harmonious scene as if it is what how a family should look like.

Louis went to wash his hands, came back and sat down beside her, and instinctively took the oranges

that she hadn’t finished peeling, “You had a lot of fruits today, just have half of it.”

“Am I not allowed to eat when I am hungry?” Lily was so annoyed with him, “Can’t you go back? I want

to be alone.”

Louis handed half of the oranges to her and ate the remaining.

“What do you want to eat at night?” The man ignored the second half of her sentence and asked,

“Spaghetti, or noodles?”

Lily propped her chin and threw orange slices into her mouth, “I don’t want to eat those.”

“So, what do you want to eat?”

“Oh, I don’t want to eat.” Lily glanced at her big belly, and her face was full of sorrow, “I’ve been eating

all day, and I getting fatter. I’m so ugly now!”

“Good girl, I will accompany you to gain weight, and when the time comes, I will accompany you to lose

weight.” Louis stretched out his hand and wiped off the droplets on the corners of her lips, “Let’s go

have the roast duck, I can show you around too.”

Lily was immediately excited, and looked at him in suspicion, “Are we really going to eat roast duck?

Where about crayfish?”

Louis thought for a while, and finally nodded, “A small amount is fine.”

“Then let’s hurry up!” Lily got up from the sofa and urged Louis, “The food stalls at the night market are

so popular that if we arrive at 8 or 9 pm, we will need to wait a long time to have the lobster.”

“OK.” Louis made his phone on silent mode and took the shawl from the hanger as he went out.

He didn’t want to be bothered with work at this time.

When they drove to the night market, it was already past eight o’clock and it was a Friday night hence

there were so many people, and every stall had people in front of it.

Louis found a place to park his car and walked into the night market holding onto Lily's hands.

He was usually busy; his meals were either prepared by David or high-end restaurants. He rarely came

to such places; however, he had no issues with it and wasn’t repulsed to follow after Lily.

Although he wore casual clothes, however, his extremely tall height and disposition made others side

glance at him.

Lily was hungry and just wanted to eat, so she didn’t care if the man next to her was attracting

attention.

When she saw an available store, he pulled Louis in.

“You can go buy a roast duck. I’ll wait for you here.” Lily sat down and was eager to look at the

menu.
