Making you suffer is my mission
I grabbed my legs, hitting my head against the wall of that hospital, my heart was shattered into a thousand pieces like the pearl from that anime I loved so much when I was a kid. How do I remove the image of her dead body from my mind? I would negotiate with the devil himself if necessary for her to be alive, I don't want to lose her, Oh my God help me! Give me a chance to make everything right, I couldn't bear to be without her.
I was crying like a little child, I never thought this woman could make me cry in such a way, I feel so strange, I am a bitter, strong-tempered, and arrogant man, how can a woman change my life? I married her to make her pay, but it seems like it's me who is paying.
"Sir, what happened?" my driver asked as he touched my shoulder.
"She died, my wife died, I was in the room when the monitors started beeping, I saw them inject her with adrenaline, my son..." but I couldn't continue because the tears wouldn't let me speak.
"I'll go see what's happening, please don't do anything rash, wait for me here, I promise I won't be long." I saw him disappear through the door I had just come out of a few minutes ago. I didn't have the strength to walk, I didn't even want to walk, I just wanted to hide my head like an ostrich, but the sound of a camera caught my attention, it was the reporters. I lifted my head and looked at them.
"Mr. Ferner, is it true what's being rumored around the hospital, that your wife has died?" asked that intrusive reporter, not stopping taking pictures of me.
I got up from the floor in a fury, wanting to kill her with my own hands, I took two steps ready to jump on her, but a hand rested on my shoulder, making me step back.
"Mr. Ferner is not available to answer your questions, we would appreciate it if you respect the family's privacy and in turn I invite you to leave, all peacefully."
"Are you threatening us?" asked that stupid woman.
"No, I am in charge of the family's security, I am highly trained to answer your questions, but I don't want to, so either you leave or we will sue the channel, you are violating Mr. Ferner's privacy." The woman did not respond and had no choice but to leave without a word, apparently my driver was well trained, but that couldn't be doubted, he was a retired Martin.
"Sir, I told you not to do anything rash, please sit down, let's wait for the security team to arrive and then you can take a shower."
"I won't move from here, I remind you that I am the one giving the orders and I am not willing to leave the hospital," I said with a sour tone, unable to control myself.
"I know, sir, but in those conditions you cannot see your wife, it would imply contamination, besides what would you say if you see everything covered in blood and messy." I looked at him with a furrowed brow.
"What are you saying?" I asked, looking at him. "What are you trying to tell me?"
"Mrs. Ferner is still alive, God has given her a second chance." My legs gave way, making me fall to the ground. "Thank you, my God!"
"I want to see her."
"You can't, she's in critical condition, at the moment it's not possible, be content knowing that she's still fighting, so take care of yourself and change." My driver took care of getting me a room, clean clothes, personal care products, after a cold shower I was more active, more presentable, ready to take control of the world again if she had endured all that time then it meant she was still fighting.
I left that room with a sour look on my face to meet my driver.
"Sir, the news won't stop talking about you. Your lawyer needs to talk to you and the public relations manager wants you to authorize some things."
"Perfect, I'll take care of it. Get a copy of every newspaper in the city and bring it to me, I want the security team in the entire building, I don't want any mistakes," I said, looking at him steadily, the man didn't even flinch.
"I'll do that." With that, he left. I approached the reception and asked for the person I was looking for, the nurse didn't hesitate to give me the information, there was nothing that money and a pretty face couldn't solve.
I took the elevator to office thirty-two, I opened the door without knocking, I wasn't in the mood for formalities, there he was attending a patient. "What are you doing here? You have to wait, I'm busy."
"I don't care," I glared at the patient before speaking, "Get out of here!" The young man didn't hesitate and left the office like a scared mouse. "You can't do that! You're not God, this is my workplace and my building," my brother shouted, more agitated than usual.
"Your building? All of this is mine and you know it, you have nothing, I'm here to advise you, I want you away from Samantha and my son." "He's my son."
"No, he's my wife's and the child she carries in her womb is mine. I advise you to leave things be because I won't hesitate to bring down your house of cards."
"Why are you doing this? You don't love her, you married her because you wanted to collect the debt, but you don't love her, I fell in love with her, let her go free." Our eyes were shooting fire, two pairs of eyes, one blue and one brown, were facing each other for the love of a woman.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
"If you love her so much, then sign once and for all and renounce everything you have, you'll end up with nothing, I can call my lawyer and settle this. What do you say?" I knew what his weakness was, so I would play one of my cards, I wasn't going to lose this battle, he didn't even say a word.
"You're a coward, Omar, you don't deserve anything, you like money more, I will get my wife out of this place."
"You can't, her health is critical." I narrowed my eyes. "You knew she wasn't dead and you didn't come to tell me."
"Making you suffer is my mission," he replied with a wicked smile.
"Stay away from us or you'll pay dearly." With that, I left that place heading towards the area where Samantha was, it was true that everything started off bad but I was willing to win her back, I had to admit that I loved her, I didn't know when it happened, or even how all these feelings happened, but I would enjoy it.
