When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 167

The entire room turned their attention to the two under the spotlight.

Dorian, microphone in hand, made a heartfelt confession. Evelina, feigning shyness yet clearly basking in the attention and cheers from the crowd.

Lemira watched the scene unfold with a hint of mockery in her eyes. So, even without the scene of they humiliating her in the past life, Dorian still ended up confessing his feelings for Evelina. Now, Evelina had gained some fame as an influencer, with her girl-next-door looks making her quite popular.

When Orion caught sight of Dorian, his gaze sent a warning signal to Thaddeus, who gulped, "I had no idea he would show up here."

After Dorian's public confession to Lemira last time, Thaddeus had to call his uncle in the middle of the night, urging him to keep his son on a tighter leash to avoid any more scandalous confessions. Dorian had since vanished from Lemira's life, jetting off to Orvin, only to unexpectedly return and walk straight into their sight.

Lemira turned her head away, "It doesn't matter. With masks on, no one knows who's who. Let's just enjoy ourselves."

"Sweet Lemon, I just love your carefree spirit. Let's head to the lounge area; it might not be as lively as there when in a private room."

After all, bringing a girl to a bar didn't exactly call for a round of drinks with a bunch of ladies. And calling for guys would be even more out of the question.

So, they settled for the lounge to soak in the ambiance.

No sooner had Lemira sat down than a waiter came over to take their order. Thaddeus quickly decided for himself, asking, "Sweet Lemon, what would you like?" "A cocktail, something fancy."

Orion, remembering Lemira's drunken antics from before, gazed at the waiter, "Bring her a glass of soda water."

"I don't want soda water. What's the point of coming to a bar if you're not drinking?" Lemira was visibly annoyed.

Orion felt a headache coming on, recalling the barbecue night when Lemira got drunk. He fixed his gaze on her, "Have you forgotten about that night and you being drunk You don't know about your own alcohol tolerance, huh?"

Lemira recalled what happened that time; feeling a bit sheepish, she admitted, "Okay, I concede I'm not great with alcohol, but I didn't do anything crazy after getting drunk, did?"

Thaddeus, curious, looked at Orion, "Sweet Lemon, this sweetheart, she wouldn't have gone wild, right?"

Facing with their probe, Orion felt a bit guilty and looked away, "When you're drunk, you're not exactly up for much."

The man's Adam's apple bobbed; the memories of that night, which he thought he had forgotten, resurfaced, unsettling him. Thaddeus nodded, "How about a low-alcohol cocktail then?"

"Alright."NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

Lemira recognized Orion's point. Getting drunk would mean missing out on the rest of the night.

Soon, Thaddeus found himself

chatting with a girl at a nearby table

and wandered off to join her, leaving Lemia and Orion alone in the lounge.

Feeling a bit awkward, Lemira sipped the cocktail served to her, feeling surprisingly pleasant.

Orion's gaze landed on her. He felt headache, looking serious, "You really shouldn't drink carelessly when you're out."

After finishing her drink, Lemira, feeling slightly buzzed, stood up abruptly, "I'm going to go join the fun."

She was in high spirits and wanted to let loose for a bit.

Seeing Lemira head into the center of the dance floor, Orion didn't hesitate and followed her into the crowd.
